Established in 2014 to provide transportation and industrial sugar supply for food producers, Team Agro has rapidly expanded its areas of activity as a leading organization in Turkey’s agriculture and food sectors. Since its inception, Team Agro has continually embraced innovation and growth. Following significant management and partnership changes in 2020, Team Agro diversified its product and service range, enriching its activities by entering the trade of agricultural products such as corn, soybeans, barley, and wheat, while concluding its logistics operations.
In 2022, Team Agro strengthened its position as Turkey’s largest importer of sugar with a 70% market share and expanded its product range with agricultural products, resulting in a twentyfold increase in turnover compared to 2021. As Team Agro grows swiftly in Turkey’s imported raw material supply market, it sustains its international commercial operations through strategic agreements and a broad trade network. Listed among Turkey’s top 500 private companies by Fortune and Capital magazines in 2022 and 2023, Team Agro continues to grow and diversify its areas of operation through ongoing investments.
Building upon its long-term strategies, Team Agro has laid the foundation for sustainable growth and success in the sector. Investments include a 20,000-square-meter bonded warehouse near Mersin Port; a 25,000-ton Storage-Drying Facility with the capacity to dry 800 tons of corn per day in the Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone in Adana. Furthermore, to strengthen Turkey’s storage infrastructure and encourage sustainability in the agricultural sector, Team Agro has established licensed storage facilities for domestically produced agricultural products in Eskişehir, Osmaniye, and Konya, reaching a total capacity of 200,000 tons.
Continuing its sustainability-focused investments, Team Agro has obtained a geothermal exploration license on more than 14,000 hectares in Aksaray Hasandağı and commenced tomato cultivation using soilless farming in a 155-hectare Geothermal Greenhouse. This investment contributes to society and nature by enabling efficient water resource usage while also increasing employment in the region and supporting Turkey's food exports.
Supporting the future of renewable energy through investments in the energy storage market, Team Agro will introduce supercapacitor battery systems under the Supracap brand to domestic and international markets. These systems are entirely produced by Turkish engineers, including the battery cells.
